Charvi Jagani is a graduate of Iowa State University (ISU) where she received a Master of Architecture (Honors Graduate Research Excellence Award) and a Master of Urban Design in 2017. Charvi studied Information Technology in India where she received Bachelor of Technology in 2014. While at ISU, Charvi worked as a Research Assistant on projects ranging from Architecture and Urban Design, Sustainable Cities, Geographic Information System, Big Data, and Transportation. She was funded by ISU’s Presidential Initiative for Interdisciplinary Research for Sustainable Cities Project. She was awarded the ARCC King medal (Architectural Research Consortium Institute) for her research work. Charvi’s research paper, co-authored with Prof. Ulrike Passe for Sustainable Cities project, was published and presented by her at SimAUD (Simulation for Architecture and Urban Design) conference in Toronto (May 2017). While in India, she worked as an Intern at Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO). At ISRO, she developed a web-based Urban Growth Spatial Analyses tool and a Vegetation Monitoring System. Charvi joined substance in 2017 and is currently working on the Communications Center Renovation at the University of Iowa.
